This course will provide participants with information and facilitated conversations around the strengthening of documentation.
Aspects covered will include:
- Understanding the features and purposes of sociocultural assessment;
- Outlining the distinct features of learning stories in relation to traditional observation and assessment methods;
- Understanding and incorporating learning dispositions and behaviours;
- Pedagogical documentation: Striving to make learning visible (and learning processes) visible The use of narrative, photographs and other tools;
- Sharing, writing and presenting learning stories;
- Opportunities and possibilities: Where to next?
Participants will:
- Be able to describe the features of Learning Stories and sociocultural assessment methods;
- Be able to describe and refer to a number of learning dispositions and behaviours;
- Know how to use and apply narrative as a tool to make children’s learning visible within documentation.
